The “ultimate” craft market
The Red Hill Market has been around since 1975 and if you are on the Peninsula between September and May then you need to set your alarm clock and get up early and visit this ultimate market. Like its long established cousin, the Mornington Racecourse market it is a success story with visitors coming multiple times a year.
The Red Hill Community Market now features over 300 stalls of gourmet produce, fresh fruit and vegetables, quality Australian made art and craft. The stalls are located around the oval and inside the market halls. You need to be prepared for many hours of browsing and you still might not get around everything.
The Best Market on the Peninsula
There are many fine gourmet delights to tempt you and delicious take away and packaged foods along with fresh seasonal produce.
Get there early to get a park and not have to queue for miles. Don’t have breakfast before you go, make sure you have a bacon and egg roll and a hot coffee, its part of the whole experience. You’ll be famished after hours of walking so make sure you stay for lunch and even morning tea.
For the comfort of all patrons, dogs are prohibited in the market.
