Just Be on the Mornington Peninsula
Wellness and self-care are certainly buzzwords of the moment, but are so relevant to how we are feeling right now. The hustle, and side hustle, of daily life are certainly taking their toll on our general wellbeing. Taking time to relax and beat the burnout is super important.
All of us girls in the office have been sharing all the things on our wishlist for a ladies relaxation and wellness retreat and together have come up with our perfect escape.
Ocean Blue’s luxury holiday homes and cottages come fully equipped for your comfort and are the ideal base to spend time together, unwinding, relaxing and rejuvenating.

A Blissful Weekend
Here is our suggested schedule for a blissful weekend. What do you think?
Friday Evening
Arrive at your beautiful accommodation – how we can make your stay wonderful?
Bring together a group of friends and plan some relaxing, fun things to do. Our luxury holiday homes and cottages come fully equipped for your comfort and are the ideal base to spend time together and unwind.
You will be welcomed with a complimentary bottle of local wine and a charcuterie board platter to enjoy and unwind on your first evening.
Saturday morning
Wake and enjoy the gourmet breakfast hamper that will be supplied for the first morning’s breakfast including Almond Croissants, Rustic Sour Dough Baguette, a jar of their homemade local fruit jam/preserve, butter, freshly ground dark roasted coffee, rashers smoky bacon, thick Italian pork and fennel sausages, free-range eggs and vine-ripened tomatoes. Definitely food for the soul.

Walk to Bushrangers Bay
Saturday Lunch
Take a drive into Flinders for an endless choice of cafes and restaurants. Flinders Village is a beautiful and historic coastal village overlooking Western Port and Bass Strait. Shop up a storm in the antique stores and crafty corners or sample some gourmet dining at local restaurants and cafes. Pier Provedore is one of our favourites. Check out this review from Good Food.

Saturday Afternoon
In-House Yoga and Massage Treatments
The afternoon is for relaxing…Let us book a yoga teacher to come to your house and teach a class or we have a wonderful local business that will come to do massages. If you would prefer to go out for a yoga class at one of the gorgeous peninsula yoga studios we can also arrange this before you arrive.

The Peninsula Hot Springs
Perhaps you would prefer to jump the queue at the Peninsula Hot Springs? Only a short drive from your accommodation
Experience over 20 globally-inspired bathing experiences including a cave pool, reflexology walk, Turkish steam bath (Hamam), sauna, cold plunge pools, family bathing area, massaging thermal mineral showers and hilltop pool, offering stunning 360-degree views of the region, lakeside pool, exercise circuit, yoga/Qi Gong classes, hand and foot baths, hydrotherapy pool and cafe.

Sunday morning
Brekkie at a local cafe
After a leisurely lie-in, go for wonderful coffee and brekkie, or brunch, at one of the many of the wonderful local cafes. We would be happy to recommend our favourite cafes nearby. Here are a couple for now…
Everyone likes to be in on a secret and that’s exactly what Hunter Cafe & Store wants to be. The locals of St Andrews Beach and the back of Rye probably hope it stays that way because if word gets out there’ll be lines out the door in no time. Hunter is also the first totally vegan cruelty-free cafe in Rye. On the same parade of shops is the wonderful Store 360. Fantastic for your morning coffee, fresh bread and lots of other goodies.

Fabulous accommodation
Where will you stay? With us of course! Ocean Blue Coastal Retreats have gorgeous holiday accommodation throughout the Peninsula and very close to all of the golf courses. Visit Ocean Blue Coastal Retreats for full details.

Cape House – Cape Schanck
Cape House is the perfect property with in-house yoga classes in mind. If the weather is good you could roll out your mats on this fabulous deck area. If not so sunny the inside living space has more than enough room to accommodate a class.

Blue Haven – McCrae
Listen to the locals and they will rave about the hidden gem that is McCrae. A small village on the central coast of the Mornington Peninsula with arguably one of the best beaches in Victoria. It sits nestled at the base of Arthurs Seat with beautiful holiday homes hugging the steep inclines up to the peak.
This quiet little enclave positioned between Dromana and Rosebud offers long beautiful white sandy beach and shallow swimming and you can’t miss it as the McCrae Lighthouse acts as a prominent local landmark that was built to mark the turning point for shipping in the main navigational channels between Port Phillip Heads and Melbourne.
This coastal strip is known as the foreshore and forms part of the 28km Bay Trail for walkers and cyclists that runs along the Port Phillip coastline from Safety Beach to Portsea.
Blue Haven is within walking distance of the McCrae foreshore and a select number of cafes and restaurants that make up the cute centre of this village.
Blue Haven has 5 bedrooms and sleep up to 9 guests. This open dining area (above) would be the perfect space to have a yoga class, don’t you think?

Joie de Vivre
JOIE DE VIVRE is our dream escape to your own little piece of paradise with picturesque 10-acre views in Red Hill, in the heart of the peninsula’s wine region.
When we drive down the quiet country lane with the tree-lined driveway we know we have the most relaxing weekend waiting for us. As interiors addicts, we feel like we have walked into a magazine cover. What to look at first? The marvellous french inspired cast iron fireplace or the facing chesterfield sofas or the view in the background.
We really never want to leave, we walk in the grounds and sit on the jetty in the dam and ponder the meaning of life while watching the fishes swim by. Plan your own private tennis tournament…so many things to do.
The property is located right next door to Main Ridge Estate and across from Red Hill Cheese, two wonderful gourmet destinations that we don’t even need to get in the car and drive to. The vines for Main Ridge Estate are in fact at the back door of this property. Perfect for a ladies relaxation and wellness retreat (girls might just need to share beds if there are more than 5 of you, but we are cool with that right?)
Joie de Vivre has 4 bedrooms and sleeps up to 9 guests. Book it here

Warrawee Beach House – Blairgowrie
Truly everything you need a beach house to be. Ideal for a ladies relaxation and wellness retreat, the property is positioned on the edge of the Mornington Peninsula National Park, close to the spectacular walking tracks and cliff tops of Bridgewater Bay and Montforts Beach. But who needs beach tracks when the property is an acre and there are winding paths amongst native flora? This truly is a kids paradise and somewhere you can walk and reflect on life. Sit on benches amongst the trees and contemplate life at your leisure. For the more energetic amongst us, there is the tennis court and outdoor heated swim spa (big enough for 8-10 guests) to make sure you keep fit and active while on your well-earned break.
This property has absolutely everything you could want. The spacious lounge has luxurious furniture and furnishings with a coastal bent, a LOG FIRE and also incorporates a light-filled dining and kitchen area with a vaulted ceiling. It has a modern fully equipped kitchen with an additional fridge to store wine and food for any catering need. That all-important indoor spa for relaxing too! Book it here
