Mornington Peninsula Attractions – Winter Activities for Adults and Kids
We recently stayed at our beautiful Mornington Peninsula Accommodation beach holiday rental – Warrawee. Making the most of the winter school holidays we planned our itinerary around those attractions and eateries that we just have not had time to check out.
What could be better than heading away to a private beach holiday rental with your family with your very own tennis court and heated spa. Plans were to visit the Peninsula Hot Springs as we always do that especially in the winter, such a relaxing way to spend at least a few hours. Then play some tennis, go for some winter walks on the Point Nepean National Park and visit Mornington Peninsula Attractions we just have not had time to visit before or its been a while since we checked them out for you. Here is our list for winter:
Peninsula Hot Springs
Located at Springs Lane, Fingal this is the ideal activity to indulge in during winter. The first natural hot springs and day sap centre in Victoria. Natural thermal mineral waters flow into the pools and private baths at this award-winning coastal oasis, providing the idyllic setting for relaxation and rejuvenation. Two bathing facilities provide an experience for everyone.
The Bath House – perfect social bathing experience for groups of friends and families, with over 20 globally-inspired experiences to explore. Entry prices vary depending on the time of day. We offer PRIORITY ENTRY PASSES with our Jump the Q package. These passes ensure entry at any time even if the venue is full. If you have not already arranged the passes then call us on 9775 4015 and we can arrange for passes to be delivered to you.
Spa Dreaming Centre – is reserved for guests 16 years and over, the emphasis is on tranquil spaces, private pools and an array of pampering spa treatments to revitalise body, mind and spirit. Bookings are essential and need to be made directly through the Peninsula Hot Springs Phone: 5950 8777
Boneo Maze and Mini Golf
An eco-tourism complex designed to give all who visit an environmental experience. The garden is the showpiece of the complex and is completely fenced to enable families to enjoy family picnics and play a variet of games, which include chess, draughts, snakes and ladders, noughts and crosses, connect four and many other lawn games. Located at 695 Limestone Road, Fingal Telephone 5988 6385
Gordon Studio Glassblowers
A beautiful gallery and studio where you can on some days (usually Monday, Thursday and Friday) see the artists at work. Fascinating to watch the process. Our children enjoyed the experience but we would be hesitant to recommend for small children as breakages have to be paid for. Located at 290 Red Hill Road, Cnr Dunns Creek Road, Red Hill Tel: 59897073
Farnsworth Track – Point Nepean National Park
This track links Portsea Surf Beach with London Bridge along the cliff tops via two scenic lookouts. Start at Portsea for the best views. An alternate return route is available along the beach. The loop return walk is 2km long.
Charlie’s Auto Museum
Located at Arthurs Seat. This car museum houses a unique collection of over 80 motor vehicles, memorabilia, model cars and automobile paraphernalia from eras spanning over years – this display will captivate the minds of both the young and young at heart
