Summer is the ideal time to explore all that Victoria and especially the Mornington Peninsula has to offer.  For a truly memorable summer, start ticking off this list of top ten must-do experiences:

1. For those that have always want to fly, Kite Boarding at Rye or Rosebud Beach.  Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula is a great location for kite boarding. With ideal flat water at Rosebud and Rye to wave riding on the back beaches, kite boarders of all levels and various kiting styles enjoy this area.

2.  Make an environmentally friendly and sustainable wooden surfboard with a Tree to Sea workshop. Located on the Mornington Peninsula, this three day workshop (available by booking) is suitable for all ages and skill levels with participants walking away with their very own handcrafted surfboard.

3. The Mornington Peninsula is a great location for walking.  Stay in any one of our Luxury Accommodation Mornington Peninsula style properties and challenge yourself to a Coastal Walk.  A series of shorter walks link together to create a 30km hike from Cape Schanck to London Bridge at Portsea.  Featuring clifftop tracks with magnificent views of surf, sand, tidal rock pools and dense coastal scrub.  Long beach walks are included and short tracks inland provide exit points along the way.  The Coastal Walk is part of two of the Mornington Peninsula 100km walk.

4. For keen anglers, Mornington Peninsula offers an array of fishing options.  Get Hooked with Rip Charters and experience a unique fishing adventure.  Fishing trips depart Sorrento and Queenscliff fishing Southern Port Philliip Bay and Bass Strait.  All our  luxury accommodation Mornington Peninsula is located close to Sorrento but there are also fishing spots off all the piers in the area if you don’t want to head out in a boat.

5.  Get up close and personal with Mornington Peninsula wildlife with tours at Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park this summer.  You can go during the day for a family friendly intimate view of the animals or take it to the next level and do the Moonlit tour..remember all our animals are nocturnal..this is the time to really see the animals come alive.  It takes about 30 minutes to drive from our luxury accommodation Mornington Penininsula for a visit.

6. For keen scuba-divers, summer is the time to explore the underwater wonderland of Victoria’s newest dive site, ex-HMAS Canberra. Located 28 metres underwater, divers will discover the flight decks, bridge, engine room and galley of this underwater wonderland.

7. Trees Adventure, in the heart of Victoria’s Dandenong Ranges, offers visitors the chance to sail through the forest on flying foxes and take on a series of thrilling and somewhat lofty challenges between the trees, up to 15 metres high. Or try the Tree Surfing eco adventure experience at the award-winning Enchanted Adventure Gardens, Mornington Peninsula, and give the eight metre long Tarzan Swing a go.
