Real Mornington Peninsula Holidays – Danni’s Story

We are excited to share our first guest experience blog.  As an award winning holiday accommodation operator on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula for the last 14 years we have built up a loyal group of dedicated guests.  Each year our guests return again and again to try out our different accommodation options knowing that they are going to always get the same standard of accommodation and exceptional customer service.  But more to the point, we reward loyalty so our guests receive many goodies when they return.

This year we developed our most advanced loyalty rewards for our longest loyalty members…our AMBASSADOR program.  As an ambassador our guests get wonderful benefits and inclusions when they book and they agree to tell the story of their Mornington Peninsula Holiday to enlighten you our lovely reader.

So meet Danni, she is the first of our wonderful AMBASSADORS and this is her story..

Danni recently stayed with a large group at our Sandy Shores property.

Steps up to Sandy Shores

Sandy Shores is a stunning place! As soon as we arrived, everyone in our group was impressed by this property – from the epic steps up to the front door, to the many bedrooms, to the pool table. The house was very well furnished and styled, with lots of quality pieces and beautiful decor, and there were so many nice touches and amenities, including a Nespresso machine, UE Boom speaker, phone charger and even Netflix! Because it was wet and wintery outside, we spent a lot of time indoors playing board games and card games, watching Netflix, and eating an abundance of food!

Even though it was chilly outside, we braved the cold and went to Rosebud for fish and chips, then walked to Rosebud pier. The kids loved the Rosebud Foreshore Playground, a fun adventure playground with a range of equipment and obstacles like rope nets, a flying fox and a spinning disc.

Group Getaway Mornington Peninsula

On our drive up to Rye, we ate at Stacks Pancake Bar, a lovely and casual family restaurant serving up creative sweet and savoury pancake and crepe dishes. The following day we cooked up a storm for breakfast and dinner, but for lunch we went out to get fish and chips from George’s Seafood. The fish was deliciously meaty and crispy, and the chips were crunchy and in abundance – you know that there’s too much food when teenagers can’t finish off chips! On the last day, on our way home, we stopped off for a quick coffee at Peninsula Pantry, a small and quaint little cafe serving up drinks and snacks.

Pet Friendly Mornington Peninsula

We had a really great time playing mini golf at Top Fun.  It was so reasonably priced for a large group like ours, and was fun for all ages alike – there was lots of cheering and screaming with all the hole-in-ones that were had! It was great that they had both an indoor course and an outdoor course, and were glad that we chose the indoor one when it started to pour with rain!

While the Mornington Peninsula is a beautiful area, and we always enjoy our stays there, the highlight of this particular stay would have to be the incredible house! Sandy Shores is a stunning property and is just perfect for accomodating large groups – if we ever have another big group trip, we will come straight back here for sure!”
