The loveliest group getaway space
WE LOVE THIS BECAUSE…
It has the loveliest of spaces for our Mornington Peninsula group getaway with friends and family. The covered internal courtyard is where we gather to celebrate with food at the huge dining table. But this is also a cosy space to sit and read in the lounge space with the warm sun warming us through the cafe blinds. There is so much of room for our group to stretch out and enjoy their own spaces.
Our kids love the studio with games and their own TV or they play on the lawn and use the Balinese Summer House as a cubby.
This house cocoons you with a Zen-like feel.
Exploring the Mornington Peninsula from here we walk the 13 minutes to the Foreshore. We take our bathers and a towel for sunbaking and paddling in the shallow clear waters. Our favourite beaches on the whole Mornington Peninsula are here in McCrae. You can connect to the Mornington Peninsula Bay Trail, a walking track of 30 kilometres along the foreshore. Starting at the corner of Marine Drive and Point Nepean Rd, a gravel pathway weaves in between the trees on the Dromana Foreshore.
The small centre of McCrae (you will know you are there when you see the lighthouse) has a few cafes but the highlight is the Alatonero Restaurant for the most amazing vibe all year round but especially on summer evenings.
For the best coffee take a 9-minute stroll from Blue Haven to Rangas Bakery where you will find all things baked. The No1 place in McCrae according to Tripadvisor (a bit of a hidden treasure).
Please note that there are security cameras located at the front door & around the driveway. These cameras are always recording and data is automatically deleted 7 days later.
What fun! a new house to visit that lets four-legged friends like me sleep inside.
Yay! a garden with tall fences to keep me safe. Love the garden beds and lawn where I can sniff around, there are lots of interesting smells.
And there’s a special basket just for me. No way

Thank you Sian and Jo I thought the house was very spacious and very relaxing, I was very comfortable sitting in the sun room. Your communication was fantastic and we will see you again.

Blue Haven is ideally situated close enough to the beach to walk. We enjoyed the tranquility and peacefulness of the garden with its apple, lemon and fig trees. The house was spacious and clean, the linen and beds were all very comfortable. There is a kids zone with sleeper couch and single bed, with kids games and TV that we did not use but is perfect if you have children. The enclosed huge central area is lively on cold days, you still get all the light and feeling of being outside but fully sheltered from the elements. We really enjoyed our stay.

What a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend at Blue Haven. Highly recommended. Lots of space and beautifully presented house so close to everything the area has to offer. Walking distance to the beach and great coffee and bread at the nearby bakery. Rode the cable car up to Arthur’s seat and walked around the peak with stunning autumn gardens and views of the bay. Well appointed kitchen provided everything we needed to feed the tribe of 8. We’ll definitely be back!

Just a great place to stay. two teenagers, two dogs and two adults... lots of space and comfort. Easy access to front and surf beaches, shops and just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of summer to be very quiet. Cracking place.
