Beach House, Rye
360 degree views of blue
we love this because…
When we stand on the deck of Blue Horizon we immediately slip into holiday mode. Cares simply slip away and we marvel at the 360-degree views Port Phillip Bay and the Bass Strait.
This light-filled warm and sunny house is a favourite spot to sit looking out on the world and getting back to the simpler things in life. Its a place we love to sit and read, play games with the kids (there are tonnes of board games), cosy up in front of the gas fire in winter with our four-legged friend at our feet.
Stay in all weekend with your food provisions (either brought or we can cater) and head out to connect with nature at the Number 16 Beach only a kilometre away. The walking track that will take you all the way along the Point Nepean National Park in the direction of Sorrento to Dimmicks Beach.
Along the way pick up your coffee fix from 16 Beach General Store the organic vegan stop for yummy food and provisions and on Sundays, you may stop longer and enjoy the live music.
Make your stay a complete relaxation weekend by heading to the Peninsula Hot Springs only 7 minutes away by car. Be sure to book (or we can do that for you).
*COVID – if you are unable to travel due to COVID restrictions and/or we are unable to host you then we will contact you to offer a change of dates, credit note or refund.
What fun! a new house to visit that lets four-legged friends like me sleep inside.
Yay! a garden with fences to keep me safe. Love the trees and bushes, there are lots of interesting smells. Are those possums in the trees?
And there’s a special basket just for me. No way! What’s in there? Ooh, ooh! a treat from PAWDINKUM. I LOVE THIS PLACE.

Loved the property, it is a low key 'shack' with amazing views, quiet and walking distance to the beach and an easy drive to Rye, Blairgowrie. Sunrises and sunsets were magnificent! The place was clean, the gifts left for us were lovely and the gardens had been recent re mulched. The gas fire heated the place quickly and the heater in the main bedroom was also effective.

Great views and quiet neighbourhood. It would be good if it had air conditioning, especially during summer months.
