Beach House, Tootgarook

wake up on the water
we love this because…
Our first search when looking for a holiday house is “water view”. So we love that it is positioned right on the ocean.
In summer we simply walk across the road to the beautiful beach with shallow blue water and white, white sand. It’s perfect for our kids to play safely all day long.
In winter we take walks along the beach when the sea takes on a wilder appearance and Paddington our four-legged friend is allowed to walk and run.
The house is a townhouse and was great for our family and we shared with another family. There is a small cottage at the rear of the property that is completely separate and you can book it with the house or it is available to other guests. So you need to leave the driveway clear but other than that everyone has their own private space.
The foreshore on this part of the Mornington Peninsula has the best beaches and we walk in either direction and take in the spectacular views of Port Phillip Bay along the Bay Trail.
Our favourite spots are the upstairs lounge where we snuggle up with a book and a glass of wine in front of the gas fire in winter and watch the weather change across the bay. In summer the balcony is the perfect spot to sit and watch the beachgoers.
Everyone loves the outdoor heated spa. It does only seat 4 at a time so for larger groups…get in line.
Our favourite spot for coffee and breakfast is only a 7-minute walk away at The Kitchen and for something special we always choose Veraison Restaurant which is only a 5-minute walk. At Capel Sound, you will find a host of cafes including Unica Cucina E Caffe which is our recommendation.
What fun! a new house to visit that lets four-legged friends like me sleep inside.
Yay! a safe little courtyard at the front and back of the house and I can smell the sea. We can walk on the beach every day (depending on the time and season) and splash in the sea because of its right across the road.
And there’s a special basket just for me. No way! What’s in there? Ooh, ooh! a treat from PAWDINKUM. I LOVE THIS PLAC

We loved our stay at Shoreline - the house was luxuriously furnished and well-equipped. The weather was unfortunately wet and cold, but having gas fireplaces both upstairs and downstairs kept us cozy and warm on the comfy sofas. The upper level balcony was a favourite spot, sunny and sheltered with views to the water as the house was just across from the beach. Despite being on the main road, the house was well insulated from the traffic noise. Thanks for a great relaxing getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay at Shoreline. The home was lovely, super cozy and very well appointed. The location directly opposite the beach was amazing and we would definitely recommend this home to others who want to enjoy a great beach holiday

Lovely spacious well maintained property. Plenty of room to find peace & quiet. Across the road, access to the foreshore for walking, biking, boating & swimming. Great location to walk the dog. Relax in the spa.
