Shoreline and Hideaway
Beach House, Tootgarook
when everyone wants to be by the seaside
we love this because…
what we need when we have a large group of family and friends gathering together is group accommodation with space.
In summer we simply walk across the road to the beautiful beach with shallow blue water and white, white sand. It’s perfect for our kids to play safely all day long.
In winter we take walks along the beach when the sea takes on a wilder appearance and Paddington our four-legged friend is allowed to walk and run.
The house is a townhouse combined with the Hideaway, (which is a separate cottage at the rear) is perfect when we have a large group of family and friends want to getaway together.
The foreshore on this part of the Mornington Peninsula has the best beaches and we walk in either direction and take in the spectacular views of Port Phillip Bay along the Bay Trail.
Sitting upstairs in the lounge where we snuggle up with a book and a glass of wine in front of the gas fire in winter. It’s perfect to watch the weather change across the bay. In summer the balcony is the perfect spot to sit and watch the beachgoers with a glass of wine in hand.
But everyone loves the outdoor heated spa. It does only seat 4 at a time so for larger groups…get in line. And after that long soak in the spa we love to light the fire pit in the garden and toast marshmallows at any time of the year.
Our favourite spot for coffee and breakfast is only a 7-minute walk away at The Kitchen. But if you are looking for something special we always choose Veraison Restaurant which is only a 5-minute walk. At Capel Sound, you will find a host of cafes including Unica Cucina E Caffe which is our recommendation.
*COVID – if you are unable to travel due to COVID restrictions and/or we are unable to host you then we will contact you to offer a change of dates, credit note or refund.
What fun! a new house to visit that lets four-legged friends like me sleep inside.
Yay! a safe little courtyard at the front and back of the house and I can smell the sea and there is a safe garden with high fences with the cottage in the rear. We can walk on the beach every day (depending on the time and season) and splash in the sea because of its right across the road.
And there’s a special basket just for me. No way! What’s in there? Ooh, ooh! a treat from PAWDINKUM. I LOVE THIS PLACE.
